Beneath the Blue Moon Facility

Beneath the Blue Moon Facility was a community-made Crazy map created by RRGaming2017. It had 8 standard buttons and 4 group buttons.

It was initially available as a demo on March 21, 2021 and was later available as a complete map on August 10th, before being taken down in March 27, 2022, confirmed in this post^[1]. As of 20/12/2022, the map has been brought back and is still playable

Design

Beneath the Blue Moon Facility is a fan remake of Blue Moon, sharing many assets with Blue Moon. It expands upon the concept by creating brand new rooms and is supposed to happen after Blue Moon, due to the fact that the end of Blue Moon can be seen inside the map.

Difficulty

During development, the map was criticized for being too easy.

Gameplay

Room 1

The map starts out in an empty room with a button. After pressing the button, a gate opens and you wait for the lava to lower.

Room 2

When the lava lowers enough to land you can get the second and and third buttons. After that you go into a hole in the wall then onto a zipline to get to the next room.

Room 3

In here you must jump to a wall jump and then go up into a secret area to get the 4th button. After that you fall back down into the other room you were just in, but this time there's a massive hole in the wall, and going through the hole reveals another secret room.

Room 4

After jumping on some boxes and going into another tunnel you are greeted by a room flooded with lava. However, to your right you will find the 5th button. Pressing that button will lower the lava far enough to let you proceed through getting the 6th button.

Room 5

After that you go into a large room with pipes, climbing the pipes leads to the 7th button. Then you jump to a zipline and ride it. After that you climb some boxes to jump to the 7th button and slide outside and grab a zipline.

Outside 1

When you're off the zipline you must maneuver around some tight spaces to get to a platform with a lot of boxes. Climbing the boxes reaches the 8th button. Then you take a path back inside.

Room 6

When you're back inside you jump on some boxes to reach an elevated area that leads to a platform. Then you use a wall jump to get to another elevated platform to get to the next room.

Room 7

In here you must jump on a box to get the 10th button. to go back outside.

Outside 2

Once you're outside again you'll have to make some far jumps and go above a wall to then take a path to the top to find a door. Under the path lies the 11th button.

Room 8

Once you jump over a platform you will find some boxes to climb to get to button 12. Then you climb a truss to the next room.

Room 9

In here you take a zipline to a platform. Then you move around some pipes to go outside for the last time.

Outside 3

After going across some platforms you go through a gate. Then you go up to take a rocket and leave Blue Moon.

Trivia

An animation series^[2] was planned for production at one point.

If a Rescue Mission is activated, the escapee is located in one of four locations throughout the map.
- The distressed escapee used to appear in only one location.
On April 12, 2021, the map was closed for private testing.
A shorter version of the map name has been developed as "BtBMF".
The BGM (background music) is a remix of Blue Moon, Abandoned Facility, Beneath the Ruins, all combined.
- Because of the Roblox audio update, it will no longer play.
Under the lava of the room with the first three buttons, the map thumbnail (likely used to fix a minor bug) can be found on the other side the door, where in the normal Blue Moon is the entrance to the stairs room.
On the barrier that disables after pressing the seventh button, disney12 can be seen scouting the area.
