Crystal Base is an Insane Map created by KukkaiTH2. It has 10 Buttons and can be played in FE2 Map Test.
Design
The first and second part of Crystal Base is centered around a yellow and gray color scheme, a common theme in Kukkai maps. At the first button, there is a mainly blue area circling the button. At the third room, there is a blue corridor with windows and a cave. In the first vent, there is a button where there is a small hole the player can fall in, causing the player to fall and die.
The next room is a simple blue lift with trusses and outlines. After that, there is a section where it seems like a lab with many props the player would see in one. This theme carries on until the player gets to the end zone, which is an outside area with trees and minerals.
Trivia
- This is one of Kukkai's easiest maps.
- Like maps like Time Machine, this map is notorious for its instant kill start.
- This map has quite a variety of styles.
- The Storage Room can be very irritating as if the player doesn't cling onto the door or glitch, the player will fall in the hole and die.
- There is a ladder at the last section which causes many players deaths (Go to the minute 1:20 on the video below).
- Due to many hard obstacles and lava speed, a majority of players consider this as a Crazy Map, however, it's not currently known if it's ever going to be Crazy map or not.
