Abandoned Facility

Main article: Abandoned Facility.

Abandoned Facility is a water-based map and was commonly called the easiest Insane, being said to be somewhat easier than Familiar Ruins until in the Agility Update where this map got buffed. Once the first button is pressed, the air bubble will be unlocked which will be used to get to the next area. The hardest part of this map is when you need to press the third and fourth button by swimming through many vents with obstacles. The final room is land-based, where you need to press one button in the room to survive before lava rises.

Familiar Ruins

Main article: Familiar Ruins.

Familiar Ruins is considered by many the easiest Insane Map. The third room resembles the ruins of the old FE:C lobby. You start in an elevator, leading to the first room which has a button. If the person going for it fails, a sacrifice would be required to press it as the lava rises fast in this room. After that, you enter another room containing three buttons. After a while, the acid will rise, and turn into lava shortly after stopping. Then, the player enters a room that resembles the Multiplayer Mode room inside the FE1 Main Building, where players must press a button. Then, players go outside. In the outside section, a player must press the button to add a pathway to the finish. Before an update, the first room was almost impossible to get the button and to the second room. It was nerfed, but the other rooms were buffed.

Lost Desert

Main article: Lost Desert.

Lost Desert is a desert-themed map that is quite hard for most players. The water rises after about ten to twenty seconds but turns to acid shortly after and rises quickly. This map requires good agility and timing. Most people fail on the pole jumps, resulting in (almost) certain doom. After surviving the desert section, you enter a temple. The door to the temple will close if you are too slow. After a series of buttons, you enter a tall room with multiple hieroglyphics on its walls. Here too, the sticks are thin and you will have to be careful not to fall into the lava. The music can be interpreted as having cues to show you when the acid or lava will rise.

Gloomy Manor

Main article: Gloomy Manor.

Gloomy Manor takes place in a manor, as the title states. It takes place in the front, inside, and backside of it. The map itself is not known to be very hard, but is a long map with multiple rooms, making it difficult to solo. The lava does not rise very fast, giving plenty of time to press the first few buttons. There are many pictures of other maps and octagon-shaped tunnels. It has ten buttons, the most in the game.

Sinking Ship

Main article: Sinking Ship.

Sinking Ship is considered by many the fifth hardest insane overall map in FE2. To be able to escape the ship, you must be focused. After the first 2 buttons, players enter the middle section, which is extremely large. Acid and lava rise quickly, drowning most players. After the middle section, the player enters the deck, in which they have to press three buttons to get to the end zone. Sinking Ship doesn't have an exit block, so it is easy to get out.

Dark Sci-Facility

Main article: Dark Sci-Facility.

Dark Sci-Facility was commonly declared as the hardest map in the game until Blue Moon was added as the first Crazy map. The lava rises at an insane rate, leaving little to no room for error. Players have to make very far jumps throughout the map. The second room is generally easier than the first, but the lava can still catch you there if you're not fast enough.

Beneath The Ruins

Main article: Beneath The Ruins.

Beneath The Ruins is considered to be the hardest Insane Map (along with Dark Sci-Facility), heavily requiring both agility and timing. This is the one of the three maps where liquid can go down, done by the second and third buttons. The other maps where liquid can go down are Sunken Citadel and Magmatic Mines. The map has many crates and is filled with lava. It is also known as one of the longest maps in the game. There are also many big, hard jumps. It has a connection with Familiar Ruins and the FE:C Final Room (aka Code Room).

Magmatic Mines

Main article: Magmatic Mines.

Magmatic Mines is a recently added Insane Map. Many players find this map's difficulty almost the same as Lost Desert. As its name states, this map is located in an abandoned mineshaft and is filled with all types of liquid, it also has an Air Bubble. It has tons of props, such as minecarts, crates, along with it, it also has an outside area with lavafalls and floating boxes. The 1st part of the map reminds most players of the tower part of Sinking Ship as it's very similar.

Fallen

Main article: Fallen.

Fallen The map takes place in a monochromatic realm or dimension, surrounded by what looks to be floating boxes, gigantic floating crystals and crumbling platforms which can contain boxes, trees, grass and other decorative stuff. This map maintains its theme by using ColorCorrection, which gives the map it's black, white, and grey hue. If you are too slow, the lava will rise up extremely fast, consuming you if you don't make it in time. The map's OST is a reversed version of the Marred Dreams OST without the percussion.

Satomi Springs

Main article: Satomi Springs.

This map takes place in a water-flowing ravine, with some areas taking place in a cavern. The spring water that is flowing from a cave waterfall is lethal as it is boiling hot. The place is under construction as it was supposed to be a water resort, which explains why the presence of the construction equipment.
