Poisonous Valley is a community-made Easy Map made by GustForce. It has a total of 6 buttons (5 normal & 1 group), a star rating of 1.6, and is playable in Flood Escape 2.

Design

As the name states, Poisonous Valley takes place in an endangered valley with a poisoned river in the middle. There are some tunnels and rocks protruding from the river floor. The map has a dull and somber color scheme, accompanied by a dark and gloomy atmosphere. Alongside the slow rising acid, an acid wall, which begins at the poisoned waterfall, makes it way to the end at a moderate pace.

Trivia

  • When the map was first added, it temporarily used Mysterium's OST. This was changed at the June 2018 update.
    • In FE2 Map Test, for a very, very brief amount of time, it temporarily used Infiltration's OST[1].
    • One video in particular actually shows it using Decrepit Seas' Side B OST[2].
  • This map is the first Easy map to be added to Flood Escape 2 after it was officially released.
    • Overall, this is the 4th Easy map added to FE2.
  • Poisonous Valley was one of many maps to have been posted on the Crazyblox Games Forums before being added to the game.
  • Many players consider that this map should be a Normal Map due to the fact that falling will most likely doom a player, and is punishing for Easy standards.
  • This map is the second to have its own unique acid type. The first was Dark Sci-Forest, being purple and the third being Relic Valley with its magenta color acid.
  • There is a cauldron near the end of the map with the man from the meme "You know I had to do it to em". The liquid in the cauldron also acts as acid which can drown the player if they wish to go in the cauldron. This is the third appearance in-game, proceeding Sinking Ship.
  • This map has an acid wall where according to GustForce, it is supposed to represent toxic gas. It's to ensure no player would survive by the end of the map. This is the 2nd to do so, after Graveyard Cliffside.
    • In mid-2021, the acid wall went missing because its code broke. On October 23, 2021, the acid wall is back, but is now translucent.
  • The wooden house at the end shows a striking resemblance to the wooden house at the end of Gloomy Manor.
  • NBC (No Buttons Challenge) was possible on this map. Right after you teleport to the map, quickly press the "Low Detail Mode" button then everything in EventScript will stop, except water and change state of it. This concludes that things that are controlled by buttons will stop too. This is due to a precise glitch at the exact right moment would make everything go 5-6 studs up. However, this is no longer possible since the End Zone only opens when all buttons are pressed.
  • Before the poison rises, you can notice the crates already acting like floating objects regardless if the poison surrounds it.
  • There are two secret rooms in this map, both are located behind the poisoned waterfall near the second button.
    • The secret rooms were first discovered by NumJasper and made public by Gentleberry16 Gerek.
    • As of early February 2024, the waterfall secret room entrance was removed
      • You can still see the ladder leading to the actual secret room if you use Shift Lock
  • If you Shift-Lock into the wall at the third button, you can see remnants of the Map Making Kit.
  • If High Detail is on, there's a small chance you can spawn at the 1st button's platform.
  • This map was rarely seen by players, until the Map Voting System was added.
  • A picture of this map can be seen in the secret room of Sunken Citadel.
  • Poisonous Forest and Poisonous Chasm are similar to this map because of the theme. Both maps uses "poison" as their liquid however instead of acid, the poison is lava.
  • If a Rescue Mission is activated on this map, the escapee will be located on a box floating on the acid river near the second button.
  • During a Lost Page event, the Lost Page would appear at the left of what looks like a laboratory on the other side of the valley.
  • When you glitch out the secret room, you can see the lava which was used in the original Poisonous Valley.
