Design

Gloomy Manor takes place in the front of, inside, and in the back of a manor, as it's name suggests. The model work and coloration are very intricate, and the purples along with the dark lighting make the map seem gloomy. This map has many hard jumps, and many wood plank models and some very hard truss jumps. There are lots of octagon-shaped tunnels, each leading to its own room. This map has the most buttons in the game, with 10 (excluding map test).

Trivia

• Behind the bunker at the end of a map appears to be a picture of muscular WoodReviewer, which also appears in the wrecked ship in Decrepit Seas and in Wild Savannah, next to the wall jump of the final room.
• Because this map is so tightly spaced, there are many shortcuts that can drastically reduce completion time.
• This map was in FE2 Map Test, and the name can still be found there, but when played, you will be spawned into the map Wild Savannah. The reason for this is because the creator (rareheaddress) wanted to have the map whitelisted instantly. However, recently rareheadress reversed it back to Gloomy Manor, and later on, changed it to Omitted Temple.
• This map uses a name from the game "Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon".
• Once you are inside of the manor, you will see random pictures like maps. For example, in the second room, you will see a picture of Luigi holding a flashlight. This is a reference to Luigi's Mansion.
• The arrow next to the second button is a way to troll people by standing on it.
• Players mainly get killed by lava by missing a jump, not it overflowing the room.
• The painting found in the main room of the manor on the right next to Lost Desert's painting is Painted World, which is an insane test map made by OriLePorytronic.
• In the main room, inside the manor, you will see a diamond shaped floor. Once the buttons are pressed, the floor will make a hollow gap. You cannot fall in, however, as there is an invisible brick over it.
• This map is the most frequent insane map that can appear in the game, the 2nd being Familiar Ruins and 3rd being Lost Desert and Abandoned Facility.
• This is one of the easier Insane maps. The hardest part of this map is most likely the beginning, in which there are many small platforms to jump on to press the first two buttons. After you get past the first door, the map gets a lot easier. This map can still challenge newer players though.
