Graveyard Cliffside is a Hard Map created by Crazyblox. It has a total of 8 buttons (5 normal and 3 group), a star rating of 3.1, and is playable in Flood Escape 2.

Design

The map is Halloween-themed and, as suggested by its name, is located on graveyard situated on a cliff. This map is unique due to its design and its use of a lava wall (Ghost wall) that moves from the spawn all the way to the end. There is a pit of lava found in the second part of the map, but it never rises. Apart from the many gravestones found throughout the map, there are also several structures found within the map, most of which are made with cobblestone. The map mainly uses wooden platforms, they are either suspended or attached to a wall. There are also withered plants and pine trees found, but they are brown in color because of the Autumn climate.

Trivia

  • This is the first Halloween-themed map in FE2. The second being Eerie Peaks.
    • However unlike Eerie Peaks, Graveyard Cliffside isn't a Halloween-exclusive map.
  • When the map was first added, it initially had only 7 buttons and had a more simpler design. On 2018, the map was updated for Halloween. Ghosts can now be found flying out of gravestones. The grass in some parts are now withered, along with the addition of dead bushes to give the map an eerie feeling. The building that contains the 3rd button has also now more decorations, such as a carpet, pillars, and a pool of lava which can be threat for the person attempting to press the button. The update also included the current 6th button.
  • There used to be a shortcut where you could jump from the first button, skipping the wall jumps, but it was patched when the map was updated for Halloween 2018.
  • The 2nd button is considered by many players the most difficult button to press in the map, due to the long jumps and the pit of lava below.
  • The lava wall has a unique decal unlike most other maps, which is 'Ghosts'.
  • When you go to cave with the 2nd button, you may see 2 boxes with neon edges stacked together. They look similar to Cave System's boxes in the beginning and near to the end.
  • There was a rumor where Graveyard Cliffside would be replaced by Beneath The Ruins, but it was proven false after Beneath the Ruins' difficulty was raised to Insane and Graveyard Cliffside remained.
  • This is the third Hard Map where its flood starts with lava. The other maps that share the same characteristic are Lava Tower, Dark Sci-Forest, Sedimentary Temple, Fallen (Classic), Sunken Citadel, Relic Valley, Poisonous Forest, and Toxic Woods.
  • The map's thumbnail was initially missing in the Lobby's display screen. This was fixed when the map was updated in 2018.
  • This is the first map to utilize a wall of liquid. The second being Poisonous Valley.
  • Before the Halloween 2018 update, this map was more darker and had less details. The map also used Gloomy Manor's OST.
  • In 2017, while Crazyblox streamed during Graveyard Cliffside's development, he used the Spooky Scary Skeleton's song as placeholder BGM at the the time.
  • On January 28, 2021, a picture[1] was reposted on Discord. It shows a beta image of Graveyard Cliffside.
    • It was also discovered that 3 more images[2][3][4] where posted on Twitter, showing the old development of Graveyard Cliffside.
  • Graveyard Cliffside was planned to be replaced by Unnamed Halloween Map, but that was until Unnamed Halloween Map was discontinued for unknown reasons.
  • In the Agility Update, the map got buffed. You must now slide under a wall to enter the 2nd button's room and to press the last button. You must also now ride a zipline to press the 6th button.
  • If a Rescue Mission is activated on this map, the escapee will be located on a platform near the sixth button.
    • The escapee for this map is a Skeleton instead of a randomly selected avatar. The same also happens in Gloomy Manor.
  • During a Lost Page Map Event, the Lost Page will be found under the 7th button's platform.
